1. WHAT IS REIKI

Reiki is an energy transmitting method of stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. The technique was developed in Japan. It is based on the idea that all living things have a special energy flowing through them called life force energy. When your life energy is high, you'll feel strong and confident, be more relaxed and centered and less likely to get sick. When it is low, you'll often feel tired, be more easily affected by stress and less resistant to illness.Reiki is a Japanese word that comes from two words - Rei and ki. The word Rei means universal spirit, Higher Power or God, the word ki refers to the life energy that flows through all living things. Therefore, Reiki means universal life force energy.

2. REIKI LEVEL ONE DEGREE OUTLINE

We cover the following subjects:- What Reiki is and what is not- The uses and benefits of Reiki.- The Reiki Principles & Universal Spiritual Laws.- The History of Reiki.- Introduction to Chakras and to the Energetic System- The Art of Self-Realization: Understanding who you are- Hand Positions for self-treatment- How to provide a full treatment upon yourself and how to adapt to others.- Demonstration of how to provide a treatment.- Practical exercises of giving and receiving Reiki on each other.- Questions and Answers.- Contraindications

3. REIKI LEVEL 1 DEGREE EXPLAINED

Your First Degree attunement is focused mainly on opening up the physical body so that it can then accept energy and enable you to treat:1. Yourself2. Family (adults and children)3. Animals, plants and trees4. Food and water
Although the main reason for Level 1 is for personal use, you are able to give Reiki treatments to family and friends. Following the attunement there is a 21-day cleansing period. During this time, you are encouraged to give yourself Reiki treatment every day and many students find themselves undergoing positive personal changes and spiritual growth which can be a very powerful and very rewarding time. Whenever you have the intent to provide healing with Reiki the energy will flow through your hands.
Reiki Level 1 students spend an initial period receiving broad information on Usui Reiki. This includes the history, the nature of the energy, how it is passed on and how it interacts with the body. Following the Level 1 attunement the Reiki energy begins to work within the student. The combination of the teaching and the Reiki attunement naturally stimulates the student to work with Reiki on all levels of healing: Mind, Body, Emotions, Thoughts, Feelings and Spiritually or Intuitively. The other main aspect of the teaching is the Practical side. After a demonstration there is a practise session. The Manual provided covers the course content and so is always there for you as a reference. Following your attunement you will begin to be aware of changes occuring on all levels. Support for your development is ongoing. Although the main reason for Level 1 is for personal use, you are able to give Reiki treatments to family and friends.

5. ABOUT THE REIKI MASTER

Balazs is the founding director of Rebirth Yoga & Pilates Malta where he organizes his Reiki courses on all levels (1-2-3). Balazs was a professional gymnast for 13 years and throughout his physical training discovered the power of energy healing and spirituality. Balazs gives Reiki courses since 2014 in Malta.  His main mission is to teach people how to heal themselves through the power of Yoga, Reiki Energy and Whole-food plant based nutrition and to create balance of Mind-Body-Spirit in each individuals. Balazs gives regular spiritual courses, meditation sessions, yoga teacher trainings and classes.
